The festival’s values and goals
RakettNatt wants to create a safe and secure event for everyone involved, and not damage the area we use. To do this, everyone that works together must think about their own and other’s safety, use common sense, prevent accidents at work, and take care of each other.
We want a work environment where everyone feels welcome, and we have zero tolerance for discrimination of cultural background, race, sexual identity, looks, and alike. We respect other people’s boundaries and under no circumstances bully or say something hurtful to one another.
When your shift starts the volunteers gather for a training- and safety brief. This is to remind you about the routines that makes it easier to have safe work conditions.
Clothing/protection
When we work outside it is important with good shoes and clothing. Take some warm clothes with you in case it gets cold and shoes that are good for walking/standing. All employees shall, with no exception, use helmets, gloves, protective shoes, and fall safety if you work up high when the situation demands it. Earplugs will be available in the production area.
Break, food and drinks
If your shift is 5,5 hours or more you are entitled to a 30 minute break. Your group leader will organize breaks between the volunteers at the beginning of the shift. Let them know if your blood sugar is low or you need a minute. At the volunteer hang-out area there will be snacks, beverages, and a place to relax.Unfortunately, we cannot cater to all allergies. We will only be serving gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian options in addition to the main alternative. Bring your own food if you have a serious allergy.
Unwanted events and accidents
Do not lift too heavy, ask for help any time you need it. Tell your group leader if you don`t feel comfortable doing the work you are assigned to. Memorize exits in the festival area and where you can find the nearest fire extinguisher. Listen to your leader – they know the different assignments well and how to prevent accidents, injuries, and heavy strains.
All accidents, close calls, deviations, and other unwanted happenings are to be reported to your contact person or directly to HSE coordinator.
